Team
Wordsworth Communications is a team of four people whose individual experience, skills, and work styles mesh to meet a broad range of client needs. We're known for our flexibility, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving, all on a tight schedule.
Julia L. Johnson
Principal
Julie has 19 years of experience in writing, editing, and document design for infrastructure planning, engineering, and construction firms. She is the owner of Wordsworth Communications and manages each of the firm's projects. Whether writing feature articles, fine-tuning public information materials, or overhauling draft reports, Julie's favorite challenge is untangling technical detail to effectively communicate with the document's target audience. Prior to establishing Wordsworth Communications in 1997, Julie was employed by Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure consulting firm. She earned a B.A. from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, double majoring in Economics and History with a minor in Management. Julie is a member of the Women's Transportation Seminar, the International Association of Business Communicators, and the American Planning Association.
Mia Lisa Anderson
Graphic Designer/Office Manager
Mia has 30 years of experience in administration, more recently focusing on graphic design. She looks after the myriad administrative details that keep us in business, and provides graphic design support for a range of projects. Her work includes layout of lengthy documents such as long-range transportation plans, photo correction and manipulation to enhance the quality and creativity of clients' materials, design of stand-alone print pieces, and development of graphic charts and other design elements to engage readers and communicate complex concepts. Mia is an award-winning photographer who brings her creative vision to each assignment. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, and is a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
